Stanley Park Staircase

The flowering cheery and plum trees have been in full blossom for nearly a month now. So much so that my photo archive is nearly bursting with every conceivable angle, lens and perspective on these gorgeous flowers.

For the second year in a row the city has sponsored the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival that pays tribute to 60 years of blossoming trees. The web site for the festival is nicely done with schedules for the early and later bloomers. Even though many of the trees near my apartment have shed most of their blossoms there are many close by, including those in Stanley Park, that have just begun to show off.
